Frequently asked questions
Where is Waveshine Blue Bay located?
Waveshine Blue Bay is at 20A Werrina Parade, Blue Bay NSW 2261, on the NSW Central Coast. It is an absolute beachfront home sitting directly on Blue Bay beach, between The Entrance and Toowoon Bay, about 1 hr 15 min north of Sydney.
How many people does it sleep?
The home sleeps up to 10 guests across four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms — three full bathrooms plus a ground-floor powder room: a master suite with a king bed and private ensuite, two double rooms (one with its own private ensuite), and a bunk room that sleeps four.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am. If you'd like a later check-out, you can request one using the QR code in the in-house welcome booklet.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, the minimum stay is 2 nights. Longer minimums may apply during peak periods and holidays.
Is Waveshine Blue Bay pet friendly and dog friendly?
Yes. Waveshine is a dog friendly beach house and small pets are welcome. We ask that pets are kept off carpeted areas, rugs and furniture, and are not left unattended in the house. Pet friendly beachfront accommodation is uncommon on the Central Coast, so the fenced lawn and the beach directly in front make this an easy base for a dog friendly holiday.
How far is the beach?
It is absolute beachfront. Blue Bay beach is just a few steps from the deck at the water's edge, and patrolled Toowoon Bay beach is a short walk south along the sand.
Is there WiFi?
Yes, WiFi is provided throughout the home. The network name and password are included in your check-in instructions.
Is there parking at this Blue Bay beach house?
Yes. There is free off-street parking on the premises including garage space, with room for multiple vehicles. That suits larger groups travelling in separate cars, and there is space for boards, bikes and kayaks.
What's in the kitchen?
The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooking, a dishwasher and fridge, a coffee corner with a Nespresso machine (pods supplied), a breakfast bar and a walk-in pantry. A first aid kit is kept in the kitchen.
Does the home have air conditioning?
Yes, the home has ducted air conditioning throughout, along with a 65-inch Smart TV in the open-plan living area.
What is there to do at the property?
The garage doubles as a games room with air hockey and ping pong. Indoors there's a Smart TV and board games, and outdoors you'll find a covered balcony, an alfresco area with a Weber BBQ, and a deck right at the water's edge.
What are the house rules?
The home is strictly non-smoking and no parties are permitted. Please keep noise to a minimum between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am (noise monitors are in place), and if you're staying over bin night (Sunday) we'd appreciate you popping the bins out. It's a self-catered home, so starter supplies like toilet paper are provided but not restocked during your stay.
Is the beach patrolled?
Blue Bay itself is not patrolled, though its sheltered position keeps the water calm. Patrolled Toowoon Bay beach is a short walk south for lifeguard-supervised swimming.

What Blue Bay accommodation sleeps 10 people?
Waveshine Blue Bay is a four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom holiday house that sleeps 10 guests — three full bathrooms plus a ground-floor powder room. The configuration is a master suite with a king bed and private ensuite, a second bedroom with a double bed sharing the main bathroom, a fourth bedroom with a double bed and its own private ensuite, and a bunk room sleeping four. Large groups also have a covered balcony, an alfresco BBQ area, and a games room in the garage with air hockey and ping pong.
How far is Waveshine from The Entrance, Terrigal and Sydney?
The Entrance is roughly a five-minute drive north, with Toowoon Bay's patrolled beach a short walk south. Terrigal is about 20 minutes south by car. Sydney is about 1 hr 15 min via the M1 (roughly 96 km), and Newcastle around an hour north.
Is Waveshine suitable for two families or a large group?
Yes. Waveshine works well as large group accommodation on the Central Coast. The layout gives two couples their own private ensuites — the master suite with a king bed, and bedroom four with a double bed — while the bunk room sleeps four children and bedroom two has a double bed. Living areas, the covered balcony and the alfresco BBQ area comfortably fit everyone, and the garage games room with air hockey and ping pong keeps kids occupied on rainy days.
Can I book this holiday home for school holidays or Christmas?
Yes, though peak periods book out early. Summer school holidays, Christmas, New Year and Easter are the busiest times for Central Coast holiday rentals, and beachfront homes that sleep 10 are limited. We recommend booking several months ahead for these dates. Availability and rates for all dates are shown when you check availability.
What is included — WiFi, air conditioning and a BBQ?
Waveshine includes free unlimited WiFi, ducted air conditioning throughout, a 65 inch Smart TV with Netflix, Kayo and Disney+, a Weber gas BBQ in the covered alfresco area, a Nespresso machine with pods supplied, a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooking and walk-in pantry, laundry facilities, and free off-street parking. Linen and towels are provided.
