This policy explains what information is collected when you visit waveshinebluebay.com.au, how it is used, and the choices you have. Waveshine Blue Bay is a privately owned holiday home at 20A Werrina Parade, Blue Bay NSW 2261, on the New South Wales Central Coast. We keep the information we collect to a minimum.
Who we are
This website is operated for Waveshine Blue Bay, a single holiday rental property. Day-to-day booking and guest enquiries are managed on our behalf by our hosting partner, Superhostly. Where this policy refers to "we" or "us", it means the owners of Waveshine Blue Bay and, for guest communication, Superhostly acting on our behalf.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information, and no more than we need:
- Website analytics. When you browse the site, Google Analytics records anonymous, aggregated information such as the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you use, and how you arrived at the site. This does not identify you personally and we do not try to match it to you.
- Enquiry details. If you contact us, or book through one of the platforms linked on this site, you may provide your name, email address, phone number and the details of your stay. We use this only to respond to you and to arrange your booking.
This website does not have its own contact form or payment system. Bookings and payments are handled on the booking platforms, not on this site.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to respond to enquiries, arrange and manage bookings, understand in general terms how the website is used so we can improve it, and meet our legal obligations as an accommodation provider. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Cookies and Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, which sets small files called cookies in your browser to measure site usage. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's own handling of this data is described in their privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Who your information is shared with
We share information only where it is needed to run the property or the website:
- Superhostly, our hosting partner, who manages bookings and guest communication on our behalf.
- The booking platforms you choose to use, which have their own privacy policies: Airbnb, Booking.com and Stayz.
- Google, which provides the website analytics described above.
We do not otherwise disclose your information, except where we are required to by law.
Storing and keeping your information
Enquiry and booking details are held only for as long as needed to manage your stay and to meet record-keeping obligations, then removed. Analytics data is retained by Google in line with the settings on our account and their standard retention periods.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, you can contact us using the details below, or raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Contact us
For any question about this policy or your information, contact us through our hosting partner Superhostly on +61 488 875 310 or by email at operations@superhostly.com.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised date at the top.
